At the June 25th meeting, Chad Bowers of Bold Planning gave a presentation on Continuity Of Operations Planning (COOP).  He has graciously offered to be available to answer any questions regarding COOP our members may have.  His contact information is found within the presentation

Effective July 1, 2007 the number of Emergency Management Directors sitting on the State's Homeland Security Coordinating Council is now two - the second of which must be a member of CEMA.  This legislative change gives us equal footing on the Coordinating Council with police and fire services.

We also have CEMA members serving on the Interoperable Communications and NIMS/Training Sub-Committees of the Council.  Our influence continues to grow and CEMA has truly become the voice of emergency management issues in Connecticut.
